Our customer Glunot, uses Automec to bake its gluten-free pizzas in Norway! Up to 360 pizzas per hour!

We were recently contacted by a pizzeria in Norway that requested a gear motor for one of their pizza ovens. We spoke to the owner, chef Dino, who was immediately very friendly. In the exchange about the pizza oven motor he needed, we asked him a few questions and found out that he is one of the top 100 pizzerias in Norway! Pizzeria Glutot specialises in the production of gluten-free pizzas but also breads, buns and desserts that are apparently very popular in Norway. The products are made entirely by them using 100% Italian recipes. The Glunot pizzeria has been located in Trysil since 2016 and also sells excellent products imported from Italy. A feather in our Italian pride! Here’s what Dino told us: ‘Made in Italy can’t be beaten, I’ve travelled around enough and when people talk about Italy they talk about pizza, about machinery, about food, we are the strongest! Thanks to the Automec gear motor, we produce between 300 and 360 pizzas per hour’.

A curiosity that perhaps not everyone knows…

In our exchange with Dino, we also discovered that the average number of pizzas per capita is higher in Norway than in Italy. We were quite astonished, thinking that such a record belonged to us and instead…. It turns out that NOVEGIA is the SECOND MOST DISTINGUISHING COUNTRY IN THE WORLD FOR PER CAPITA PIZZA CONSUMPTION!

Especially with our customers who have pizzerias, it often happens that they are in the position of having to replace our Automec gearmotor for pizza ovens very quickly. This is to avoid having the business stand still, especially at weekends. When Dino called us, in fact, he urgently needed to receive the new EP7090 gear motor for pizza ovens directly in Norway so that he would not have to interrupt his business. On our side, we activated express production to fulfil his request and within a few days the gearmotor was at its destination. Thanks to in-house production at Automec, we can be very flexible and fast! As proof of this, the day after the delivery, Dino called us to thank us. These are the small satisfactions of our work, which in addition to the production aspect also takes into account the human aspect.

Those who know us know that Automec has, for many years now, specialised in the production of gearmotors for pizza ovens exported all over the world. This expertise leads us to be contacted by customers from the most diverse and remote places, ranging from the USA to Saudi Arabia. We have two specific ranges designed to be integrated on tunnel pizza ovens. Specifically, these are the VSF25EP65 worm gear line and the EP7090 geared motor line. Both lines have been designed and developed to withstand high temperatures and to be durable.

Gluten-free pizzas, a sector that never sees a crisis.

Chef Dino, Raimondo Arnone, was born and raised in Italy, more precisely in Naples. He has a long experience in the restaurant industry and has, among other things, worked at Michelin restaurants. He moved to Norway to work as sous chef at the Radisson Blu Trysil, but eventually saw a great need for good-tasting, high-quality gluten-free food for his customers. Chef Dino wanted to be able to offer people with gluten intolerance or other food allergies a good and tasty alternative and the idea of Glunot was born. After much work and development of recipes and flour blends, Glunot opened in 2016. From all the Automec staff, we wish them continued success in churning out many good pizzas and more!
